Co-curricular activities form our integral part of our curriculum. It motivates our children and brings out the best in them. We have Language clubs, Health club, Eco club and Rotary interact club which are very active and vibrant.
Language clubs
In today’s globalised world the rich legacy of the British has gained more importance. English department regularly conducts various competitions liked word building hand writing, elocution, poetry recitation, group discussions, extempore, oratorical, essay writing and debating competitions.
Besides the regular curriculum the English department provides opportunities for honing the thinking skills blended with creativity.
Health Club
The need of the day is to address the various concerns of the young adolescent in a holistic manner. The health and development of future generation will depend on the health of young people today. The activities in the health clubs revolve around six themes as follows. Knowing your body, Food and Nutrition, Personal and Environmental Hygiene, Physical Fitness and Life Skills. Activities are planned and children participate enthusiastically.
Eco club
As the name rightly suggests this club did promote the greenness and cleanliness of our area. The students out of their own interest strived hard to clean the area. They created awareness among the people of our area about the important of maintaining trees and enhancing the better environment to live in. The students also conducted a poster competition.
Mathematics
Teaching Mathematics contributes to the level off logical and analytical thinking in the students Non-routine sum are taught to enhance the subject skill. Mental sum are given to motivate the students to improve their performance. Learning and doing form the basis for all activities in the maths lab. Teaching adds and technology invited learning help the students understand difficult concept and make them work with ease.
Social studies
Social studies department a hub activities to broaden children’s outlook and create social awareness. Students displayed charts, spoke no the life history of leaders who fought of the freedom struggle. Regular activities like quiz, roleplay, classroom discussion, have ensured great rapport between teacher and students.
Science Club
The true pursuit of science inculcates a healthy respect for nature. It fills one with a feeling of wonder and awe at the harmonious functioning of the universe.
The science club strives to encourage scientific temper and attitude in students through various activities like Quiz competition, Paper presentation, Projects and Experiments.
