The 30th Annual Day of the School was celebrated on 9 January 2013 at the Kamaraj Memorial Hall. Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, Former Minister of Commerce and Law in the Govt. of India, was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Many dignitaries from various fields graced the occasion. There were 2 special invitees who flew half way across the globe to celebrate with us on this milestone Annual Day – Mr. Sam Farsaii, Director of Instructional Technology and Dr. Alice Owen, Division Director for Technology from our sister school, Irving Independent School District, Texas, USA.
Prizes were distributed to meritorious students. The winner of the Virtual Robotics Competition between Surana Jain Vidyalaya, Chennai and Irving School, Texas, was announced. The team Rescue Rangers from our school bagged the first place with a $500 cheque from Shri Anand Surana, Secretary of the Board of Management.
The cultural programme was based on the theme “Will to Win”. A variety of dances and theatre performances featured in the Cultural show. The evening came to a close with a grand finale by the outgoing students of Class XII.
