Prof. Narayana Murthy, Co-Founder of Infosys unveils the architect design of SURANA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, a ‘World Class School’
Surana group of Schools, Chennai today launched the architect design of its new school Surana International in Besant Nagar at the hands of IT legend, Prof. Narayana Murthy when he was handed over the architect design by London based global legend of innovative school designs, Prof Stephen Heppell. “This school is the best school we could build with the science and knowledge we have today. It’s a world-class school” commented Prof Heppell.
Prof. Murthy also unveiled a bust of the Founder of Surana Schools, Shri. Pannalalji Surana, whose lifelong dream of founding a state of the art school of international standard has become a reality. The launch was witnessed by eminent personalities Shri Shantilal Muttha, who is revolutionising value based education through his national program Mulyavardhan, and Shri Vallabh Bansali, a philanthropist and India’s leading investment banker. The program celebrated the 35th anniversary of Surana Schools by honouring the President of the school Shri Bhawarlal Gothi and Vice President Shri Kailashmull Dugar for their unrelenting support and encouragement over 35 years.
Prof. Narayana Murthy gave an enlivening and enlightening address exhorting everyone to emulate the principles upheld by Mahatma Gandhiji, work for the welfare of the fellow beings with compassion and commitment and also contribute to the economic prosperity of our nation through untiring hard work. He reiterated on the needs of developing optimism, conviction and courage and ebullient enthusiasm to build synergy for positive results. He gave away the global awards to our school winners in International virtual robotics competition and proficiency awards. The students completed the event with a cultural programme.
